Volunteer Recruitment
AmeriCorps members will each recruit 5 community volunteers to provide long term (on-going, consistent, regularly scheduled) service in the reading and reading fluency tutoring for the 38 weeks of the program year. Each long term volunteer will provide approximately one hour per week of tutoring for 38 weeks and 2 hours of service for training. This will result in the recruitment of 180 reading fluency community tutors serving 7,200 hours for the program year.
