Partners In Education
Who we are
Santa Barbara Partners in Education is a non-profit organization with members from business, industry, government, elementary and secondary schools, community colleges, and four-year colleges. The mission of Santa Barbara Partners in Education is to develop outstanding graduates in the Santa Barbara area. We began our efforts in 1977.
Objectives
- Develop community awareness of school performance and needs.
- Identify competencies needed by graduates from our schools.
- Identify standards for school performance.
- Work to achieve maximum academic performance of ALL students.
- Strengthen the teaching profession.
- Advance the application of innovative practices and technology for
school improvement.
- Promote access to post-secondary education for ALL graduates from the local schools.
How to Get Involved
If you want to support the positive accomplishments of today's young
people, open channels of communication between the schools and business/industry,
help the career education program in your school, and contribute to a
brighter future for South Santa Barbara County, then Partners in Education
is for you!
Our community needs are growing rapidly, and Santa Barbara Partners in
Education is growing along with them. To enhance the excellence of our
schools, we need your participation and support. Your membership will
support all the activities featured here and many more. With your help,
