Community Service Region 8
The regional youth capacity building initiative promotes regional coordination in Region 8 which includes Santa Barbara County, Ventura County, San Luis Obispo County, and Kern County. The goal of the initiative is to assure that effective linkages are built between education, the youth development system, and the larger workforce development system that exists or is being built in the region. The outcome will be more effective services to youth which will help increase their chances for success in adult life, and enhance their ability to select and pursue careers and economic self-sufficiency.
