Grants awarded at Teachers Network Recognition Dinner

Teachers countywide were awarded grants for creative curriculum ideas at The Teachers Network Grant Recognition Dinner held February 1 at the Royal Scandinavian Inn in Solvang .

The grants included IMPACT II adapter grants and team coaching grants, Care and Share philanthropy grants funded by the Santa Barbara Foundation, and Santa Barbara County Education Office teacher innovation grants.

The Teachers Network is a partnership among the Santa Barbara County Education Office, over 90 businesses and community leaders, and the 23 local school districts.

Business partners, principals, community leaders and other Teachers Network teachers honored those receiving grants. A special guest at the dinner was Tory Babcock, 2001 Santa Barbara County Teacher of the Year.
