Teachers in CFF program to be saluted at annual dinner

Teachers who took part in the Computers For Families program this year will be saluted at the annual Teacher Recognition Event from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 31 at the Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center, 1118 E. Cabrillo Blvd., Santa Barbara.

The event is being supported by ABC-CLIO, The Hutton Foundation, and Venoco, Inc. Computers for Families provides computers, internet access, and training to under-served families in the Santa Barbara area. Since 1997, CFF has provided more than 1,500 refurbished computers to students in area schools. The goal is to provide 4,000 computers by June of 2003.

Teachers who took part in Year Four of the program are being recognized for their vision, dedication, and long hours of service.

Partners in Education launched the CFF program, and its board members will be in attendance, along with CFF teachers, principals, staff and supporters.

Further information is available by contacting CFF Director John Padfield at 964-4710, ext. 5400.
