Business professionals and educators will gather together on October 7 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Torch Operating Company, 201 South Broadway, as part of the Business Leaders and Teachers (BLT) meeting series sponsored by the Santa Maria Valley Industry Education Council (SBIEC).
Hosted by Torch Operating Company, the meeting will focus on the petroleum industry and will feature presentations by over 20 petroleum company representatives and vendors. Demonstrations and displays will include equipment such as emissions testing equipment, source testing machinery, and possibly a drilling rig to demonstrate how on-shore drilling is done.
The program will also include a tour, refreshments, and ample time for teachers and business sponsors to share information about their respective careers.
