Students to Vie in County Spelling Bee
Scores of students from throughout Santa Barbara County will "mind their 'p's' and 'q's'" when they compete in the annual county spelling bee Wednesday, March 3 in the auditorium of the Santa Barbara County Education Office.
The elementary contest will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon and the junior high contest will run from 1 to 3 p.m.
Three winners are identified at each level and the top two winners proceed to state competition.
The competition, sponsored by the Santa Barbara County Education Office, is a community partnership that includes judges from the Masons and the Town and Country Women's Club.
