Canfield to speak at Partners annual awards breakfast

Jack Canfield, co-author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, will speak on “You Make a Difference” at the Santa Barbara Partners in Education Annual Awards Breakfast 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Friday, May 2 at the Earl Warren Showgrounds.

The breakfast will honor local students and teachers who have had significant achievement in career education programs for the 2002-2003 school year.

Partners President Mark Sylvester said, “We are thrilled to have an internationally renowned speaker such as Jack as our keynote. His message will be an inspiration for our student awardees.”

Partners in Education members include CEOs from south county businesses as well as south county educators. More than 250 are expected to attend, with some 34 students and seven teachers being recognized.
