North County Spirit Awards
Twenty students from North Santa Barbara County schools will receive the annual Spirit Awards conferred by the Santa Barbara County Education Office, Bill Cirone, Superintendent, beginning at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30 , in the Joe Nightingale School cafeteria, 255 Winter Road, Santa Maria.
The annual spirit awards salute students who have demonstrated good citizenship, worked hard for their grades, and continually have a positive attitude.
"These impressive young people have been nominated by teachers and staff at their schools for their outstanding spirit," said Bill Cirone, whose office coordinates the program. "We are proud of their accomplishments and the role they serve as models for other students."
A reception for students, family, friends, and teachers will follow the ceremony.
A ceremony will be held for South County spirit award winners at 5 p. m. on Wednesday, May 31, in Auditorium of the Santa Barbara County Education Office, 4400 Cathedral Oaks Road, Santa Barbara.
