Righetti to host first SMVIEC meeting of year

 

Righetti High School will host the first meeting of the new school year for the Santa Maria Valley Industry Education Council, 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, at the school’s Career Center, 941 E. Foster Road in Santa Maria.

Righetti was built in 1962 to accommodate 1,300 students. Current enrollment has grown to some 2,500 students. Principal Jim Armstrong will review the challenges that come with housing such a large student population. He will also share upcoming modernization plans and give a short walking tour of the campus.
