Dear Parents,

        I am delighted to inform you that your child is in my class this year. I am looking forward to getting acquainted with each student. It is my desire that your child work to the top of his/her potential. I will help to make this possible by creating a warm, comfortable environment that is conducive to learning. Please feel free to talk to me before or after school anytime. If you prefer you may also send a note. I will do my best to be the best teacher I can be. Any suggestions you have that benefit your child or the class would be appreciated. 

        We have a lot of new and exciting learning activities planned for this year. Our class is lucky in that we are able to visit The Samarkand, every month to visit the residents. We also visit many other parts of the community as part of our study in social studies. I am looking forward to presenting many new learning experiences to your child. 

        Homework will be sent home on Friday to be completed and returned the following Friday. You will see that the packet is just for the weeknights, but I find that many parents are busy during the week and appreciate a chance to get a head start on the weekend. I suggest that on Saturday morning your child review the packet with you and complete a section in which he/she may need your help. In addition to this, your child should bring the packet to school on Wednesday so that I can answer any questions he/she may have and we can spend a few minutes in class working on it. I find that if we work together homework can be very beneficial and enjoyable. 

        Adams folders are sent home on Thursday s containing school letters, flyers, etc., from the school and community organizations. 

        About twice a month I will send home samples of corrected work to be reviewed with your child. Please keep the work and return the folder. 

        Along with the Adams School Discipline Policy, which will be coming home in the folder, we have our own classroom rules. Listed below are the rules for our class and the rewards and consequences.

Rewards

        Your child will receive tickets following our behavior plan as well as other incentives such as stickers, grab bag toys, and many other choices for rewards. 

        With all of us working as a team your child will gain optimum benefit from his/her third grade year.

Estimados Padres,

            Yo estoy muy contenta de informarle que su estudiante esta en mi clase este año escolar. Yo espero llegar a conocer a cada estudiante. Es mi deseo que cada estudiante trabaje a su máximo potencial.  Yo voy ayudar a ser esto posible creando un ambiente cálido, cómodo, y un ambiente útil para aprender.  Si usted gusta hablar conmigo por favor pase a verme antes o después de escuela.  Si usted prefiere mándeme una nota.  Yo voy a ser lo mejor para ser la mejor maestra que pueda ser.  Si usted tiene sugerencias para beneficiar el aprendizaje de su estudiante en el salón por favor déjeme saber, sus sugerencias serán apreciadas.

            Nosotros tenemos muchas actividades nuevas y emocionantes planeadas para este año escolar.  Como usted sabe, nosotros tenemos una serie nueva de ciencias sociales, estas serie incluye muchos temas emocionantes y unos pequeños cambios en el currículo de ciencias.   Espero presentar muchas experiencias de aprendizaje para su estudiante. 

            La tarea será mandada a casa el viernes para que sea hecha por la tarde solamente entre semana y tiene que regresarse el próximo viernes.  Cuando usted reciba el paquete de tarea usted se dará cuenta que es para hacerse por las noches solamente, pero yo sé que muchos padres están ocupados durante la semana y así tienen la oportunidad de comenzar el fin de semana.   Mi sugerencia es de que su estudiante revise el paquete de tarea junto con usted el día Sábado por la mañana y haga una sección en la cual el/ella tal vez necesite de su ayuda.  Aparte de esto, su estudiante tiene que traer el paquete a la escuela el miércoles, para que yo pueda contestar cualquier pregunta que el/ella pueda tener y para que nosotros repasemos la tarea en la clase.    Yo pienso que si trabajamos juntos en la tarea puede ser muy eficiente y agradable

            Las carpetas del Tigre de Adams se mandan a la casa el día Jueves, el cual contiene información importante, por parte de la escuela y organizaciones de la comunidad. 

            Dos veces al mes estaré mandando ejemplos de trabajo corregidos para que usted los revise con su estudiante.  Por favor deje los ejemplos de trabajo en casa y regrese la carpeta.  

            Junto con la Póliza de Disciplina Escolar, la cual estará en la carpeta, nosotros tenemos nuestras propias reglas en el salón de clases.  En la parte de abajo están algunas reglas para nuestro salón de clases, y las consecuencias.

Recompensas

            Su estudiante recibirá boletos por seguir nuestro plan de comportamiento, como también calcomanías, pequeños juguetes, y muchas otras cosas de recompensas. 

            Con todos nosotros trabajando en equipo su estudiante obtendremos máximo beneficio en el tercer grado escolar.
