This is my eighth year teaching at Adams School. I have also worked as a Health

During My years at Adams I have also enjoyed coaching Flag Football, Basketball,
and Track.
Mathematics
This class will use a blend of practicing skills and exploring concepts to
gain understanding of the California State Content Standards. Daily activities
include problem of the day, math fact practice, daily review, chapter
introduction, chapter practice, and special projects. Our goal is to use a
variety of methods to learn the concepts in our Harcourt Math books at a rate of
a chapter a week. This book has been designed to meet the California State
Content Standards. The Math class is 90 minutes a day. Students will have
homework Monday - Thursday. The Homework is intended to reinforce a lesson
taught that day in class.
Physical Education
The program will include teaching your child the components of exercise and
nutrition, how to exercise, develop easy dances and basic gymnastics routines,
sports skills, fun games, cooperation, and sportsmanship. Adams' students will
be attending two-week units in P.E. followed by two weeks of Science. This
schedule will continue to rotate throughout the school year. During the two
weeks of P.E. students should remember to wear proper shoes and flexible
clothes. While students are attending Science they will be encouraged to
exercise and stay active at home and during lunch break at school to maintain
their fitness.
