Dear Parents and Students,
There are many challenging concepts students need to learn about fractions, such as remembering to reduce fractions and change improper fractions into mixed numbers.
Fifth and sixth-grade students learn how to add and subtract positive and negative numbers, and learn exponents. Sixth-graders need to multiply and divide positive and negative numbers, as well as add and subtract integers. We will review algebra concepts by isolating the variable and using fractions in algebraic equations.
Fifth Grade

| I will be sending geometry flash cards for students to memorize. Parents, please help your child to memorize formulas as part of their daily homework. Quizzes will be given frequently |
Sixth Grade

| Circumference, diameter and area of circles |
| The meaning of pi |
| Further study of geometric shapes and how to find their areas and perimeters |
| Commit geometry formulas to memory |
