LIVING VOICES
This program presents fifth through 12th graders with a multimedia performance, in which an actor interacts with video footage of stories of young people in history.

MUSEUM OF TOLERANCE VISIT
This program arranges to transport and introduce 1,000 tenth grade history students to the Simon Wiesenthal Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, followed by debriefing. Students are prepared for their first visit through holocaust curriculum discussed in the classroom. We supply a list of survivors and liberators to the classroom teachers for follow-up possibilities. A quote from one student helps illustrate the impact: "Going on the trip to the Museum has made me realize not to stereotype people. People are created equal. Social studies is easier to understand through field trips such as to the Museum of Tolerance."

PARENTAL SUPPORT
This program works with PTAs to help teach parents how to teach tolerance to their children at home.

DEAR KITTY
A program for 6th grade. This is a two-week program that meets one hour a week. The workshop complements and focuses on the Anne Frank Diary in order to become aware of issues such as hate and anti-Semitism.

TESTIMONIALS

“It is accurate to say that Beyond Tolerance was a co-instructor the day we went to the Museum of Tolerance. Without the efforts and incredible generosity this trip would have been impossible. Our students, teachers and community thank you for helping all of us continue our journey in understanding the past and how we can make our school and community places that exhibit respect and tolerance for all people no matter from where they come or what they believe.”

Casey Roberts

“The tour to the Museum of Tolerance strengthened our resolve to be aware of the plight of others in our community and world” It certainly enriched our 20th-century world history curriculum.”
