Ms. Murdoch grew up in Santa Barbara and has worked at San Marcos since 1995 when she was hired as a social studies teacher. She has taught RISE, American Government, World Geography, and World History. She has been the Yearbook Adviser since 1998. Her hobbies include reading, dancing, photography, and traveling.

 

Sue Romero, Library Technician

Ms. Romero grew up in Carpinteria and has worked in the San Marcos High School library since 1969. She loves to read, travel, and attend Dodgers baseball games. She is an avid fan of UCSB womenÕs basketball! She also loves her Chihuahua, Mollie. She is retiring as of September 30, 2008.

Mr. Orozco grew up in Santa Barbara and attended San Marcos! He has worked at San Marcos since 2000 and is in charge of maintaining the computer network, computer hardware and helping staff and students at the school. He is an avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers! Hobbies include playing basketball, golf, traveling, shopping, and cars.

 

Vicki Hanes, Homework Center Coordinator

Ms. Hanes grew up in Bakersfield and has been at San Marcos since 1995. She has taught English, AVID, and Psychology. During the school day you can find her in room B-8. In the Homework Club she hopes to give students an academic environment to work with other students and tutors on those more complicated and difficult assignments. Students have an opportunity to use resources in the Library Media Center as well as access the expertise of older students and college tutors.
