**Change in the Work Permit Application Process**
It is
required by law that all students under the age of 18
obtain a Work
Permit to hold a job.
In the
Fall 2008, there will be a change
in the
current Work Permit Application Process.
In order to receive a Work Permit, all students must:
á
Maintain
a GPA of 2.0 fro the previous quarter/term
á
Have
acceptable attendance to receive a regular work permit
This
policy will go into effect on Monday, October 27,2008. The start of the 2nd
quarter of the 2008-2009 school year.
GPA and attendance requirements will be confirmed prior to the issuance
of the Work Permit.
If students do not meet the
minimum criteria,
they will not be allowed to work.
Students may resubmit a work permit application the following quarter if
they have met the minimum requirements.
Work Permits will be revoked and the student barred from working if they
do not continue to meet the requirements throughout the school year.
