TOP SCHOLAR PROGRAM
The Top Scholar Awards are awarded to a boy and a girl top scholar in kindergarten through fifth-grades who have consistently demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, effort, and character at Harding School.  Students who receive the award are acknowledged at a school-wide recognition assembly each June where they are presented with medals and a personal set of literature books to read over the summer.

STUDENT COUNCIL

Students in fourth through sixth grades have the opportunity to develop leadership and citizenship skills through participation in the Harding Student Council.  Each fall, students elect Student Council Officers (president, vice president, and secretary) as well as classroom representatives.  Student Council is responsible for developing and promoting fun and engaging school-wide activities.

STUDENT RECOGNITION ASSEMBLIES

Each month, students who demonstrate academic excellence, outstanding character, and perfect attendance are acknowledged in school-wide assemblies.  Student recognition assemblies are generally held on Mondays after 1:00 PM in the Harding auditorium.   Parents are encouraged to attend.

CHARACTER COUNTS

Character Counts is a school-wide program that promotes character development.  Students who demonstrate outstanding character are acknowledged in the monthly student recognition assemblies. Student learn the six pillars of the program—trustworthiness, responsibility, respect, fairness, caring, and citizenship—through classroom and school-wide activities.
