Why Santa Barbara Home School?

Home School Santa Barbara Elementary (HSSBE) and Home School Santa Barbara Secondary (HSSBS) are a unique approach to schooling where the parent is the primary education provider for the child. HSSBE and HSSBS provide the opportunity for each student to be treated as a unique person with individual needs, goals, and interests. Our philosophy is based on the belief that children grow and learn in different ways. The programs are designed to meet personal and educational needs of students from kindergarten through sixth (HSSBE) and seventh through eighth grade (HSSBS). Program elements include an educational mentor, online classes (for HSSBS students), access to elective enrichment courses, support curriculum, a supportive learning community of peers and more.

Our mission: Our schools will assist parents who choose to be the primary educational provider for thier child by facilitating the design of a learning plan that is unique to each family.

Home School Santa Barbara Elementary and Home School Santa Barbara Secondary are part of the Santa Barbara School Districts
