School Vision and Mission
Our mission is to develop in children the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to be productive, contributing individuals in a changing society. The teachers, support staff, parents, and trustees of the Hope School District believe that:
- Our children are our most precious resource.
- The primary focus of schools is to educate students.
- Education should instill a lifelong love of learning.
2007-2008
- To continue our efforts to “close the achievement gap” between our highest performing and lowest performing students through focused grade level collaboration in a Professional Learning Community that uses student outcomes to drive instruction.
- To infuse the “Catch the Wave” theme at every opportunity throughout our school community to build positive student behaviors and life long learning habits.
- To examine our beliefs and practices to ensure that we maintain high expectations for our students’ achievement and develop strategies to increase rigor and raise expectations whenever possible and appropriate.
- To launch our new Science Discovery Center with grade levels identifying critical lab activities in preparation for a new science adoption in 2008-2009.
- To fully implement the new Social Studies adoption with special emphasis on utilizing primary source enhancements with training and support from our site based Social Studies Peer Coaches.
