We will be writing three journal entries after planning a five day trip to a Spanish-speaking country. Students will communicate in the target language writing a three-page journal with illustrations and country information. After they have done so we will also put the same presentation into a PowerPoint presentation. If teachers wish to expand more on this idea they can sign up for free on the website http://www.epals.com to so that their students can communicate with students from other countries.v E-pals is a site where you a teacher sets up an account and all incoming and outgoing messages must be approved by both teachers before students receive e-mail. It also has a filter which flags messages in Spanish and English. Classrooms can be selected by subject, country language and age.
