Weekly Student Bulletin March 19-23

  • ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS ATTENDING THE WASHINGTON D.C. TRIP: There will be a mandatory meeting this Thursday in room 311 at 12:20.
  • COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL 7TH AND 8TH GRADERS: Safety Town Counselors in Training for the Summer of 2007. See applications in the counseling office.
  • 2007-2008 SANTA BARBARA HIGH SCHOOL CHEER TEAM TRY-OUTS ARE IN APRIL. Come by the office before or after school to pick up a flyer.
  • BE SURE TO THE VISIT THE SCHOOL-WIDE EXHIBITION OF ART which has just opened at the downtown S. B. Library in the "Faulkner Gallery." It features the work of 9 La Colina art students along with art works made by other junior high and high school art students in our city.  It runs through the end of March.
  • SCIENCE CLUB: After a short break we are ready to start again and will be experimenting with the Physics of Rollercoaster design! All are invited to attend Thursdays at Lunch in room 403 with Ms. Wilson. Also, if you have any good ideas for energy projects please come by and talk to me (Ms. Wilson), we all need to do our part to use less and give back more!
  • HISTORY CLUB meets every Tuesday at lunch in room 310. Come play fun games and meet new people! All students are welcome. We hope to see you there! If you have any questions please see Mrs. Checketts (Ms. Lane).
  • CHESS CLUB meets each Friday in Room 502 at lunchtime.
  • SURF CLUB will be meeting on Tuesdays at lunch in rm. 312 with Ms. Bean.
  • THE PHENOMENAL WRITER'S CLUB: All poets, playwrights and authors are welcome. Please bring your lunch and a piece of writing to share. The P.W.C. will be meeting at lunchtime on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in Room 501A with Ms. Sampson.
  • STUDENTS WHO GET OUT OF SCHOOL AT 2:30… PLEASE remember that you are not allowed to hang out near the PE area. Students must wait at the front of school. Thank you
  • REMINDER, IPODS/MP3 PLAYERS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT SCHOOL AT ANY TIME.
