"La Colina's physical education program is designed to develop in students the strength, skill and workable knowledge necessary to motivate them to participate in life-long physical activity. "

The La Colina P.E. program offers its students a wide variety of team sports, sport activities, dance, game play, and an introduction to elementary anatomy and kinesiology. The P.E. curriculum strongly emphasizes physical conditioning and improvement along with high expectation in cooperation, effort, conduct, and participation.

The following twelve activities are offered: ultimate frisbee, touch football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, track and field, paddle tennis, slo-pitch softball, hockey, speed-a-way, La Colina's fitness tests, and California's Fitness Gram. All boys and girls are grouped according to attitude, effort and demonstrated achievement in fitness. Students will have the opportunity to improve their position according to work ethic and fitness each quarter. Each week, students spend three days participating in sport activity and two days training for and testing physical fitness tests.

Positive attitude towards P.E. and fellow students will be emphasized. Outstanding effort and attitude are our priority!!
