ACADEMIC FIELD TRIPS
At La Cumbre, we believe that students learn best both in and out of the classroom. Whenever possible, we provide opportunities for students to make real-world connections to what they’re studying in school. Field trips include:
- Norton Simon Museum
- Los Angeles County Museum of Art
- Santa Barbara Museum of Art
- SBCC
- UCSB
- Cal State Channel Islands
- Float Your Boat Day Science Trip
- Performances at the Arlington and Granada Theatres
In addition to these trips, La Cumbre offers students the option to take more intensive academic excursions every spring:
- 7th Grade Core Knowledge Trip to Europe
- 8th Grade Washington D.C. and New York History and Culture Trip
No pupil shall be prevented from taking a field trip or excursion due to insufficient funds. However, students must have good citizenship, good grades, and be up to date on their homework in order to attend.
