Social Studies 7
Students in grade 7 study the social, cultural, and technological changes that occurred in the world during A.D. 500 - 1789. Students study the history and geography of great civilizations that were developing concurrently throughout the world during medieval and early modern times. Throughout the year, students will develop reading, writing, and analytical skills.
Social Studies 8
Students in grade 8 study the ideas, issues, and events from the framing of the Constitution up to World War I. They learn about the challenges facing the new nation, with an emphasis on the cause, course, and consequences of the Civil War. Throughout the year, students will develop reading, writing, and analytical skills.
