Hi La Cumbre Community,

I hope that you all have had a restful and safe 4 day weekend. There was lots of love at La Cumbre last week, with both Valentine Grams and Flowers delivered on Thursday. It was also pink and red day on Thursday, as students showed their love and friendship to others.

REMINDER - Spring Pictures on Friday, Feb. 19th during science or core classes. ALL students will have their pictures taken with 2 poses, and you will receive a packet with option to purchase various packages or separates.

PIQE again saw record numbers on Wednesday, as Session #4 comes this Wednesday.

Tuesday, February 16 - Movie/Activity Day - No 7th Period.
Wednesday, February 17 - Washington 6th graders visit La Cumbre.
Wednesday, February 17 - Raytheon Engineering demonstration 6th period in the Multi-Purpose Room.
Wednesday, February 17 - PIQE Session #4.
Thursday, February 18 - 120 8th Graders to the Museum of Tolerance in LA.
Friday, February 19 - Dollar Dance at Lunch.
Friday, February 19 - Adams 6th graders visit La Cumbre.
Friday, February 19 - Spring Pictures during Science or Core classes. All students will have pictures taken, and parents will receive the picture packet for purchase. Online purchases will also be available.
Wednesday, February 24 - AR Rewards at Lunch.
Wednesday, February 24 - Open House - 6:30 - 8 p.m. in the Theater - Parent volunteers still needed for the Parent Table to talk to parents of 6th graders.
Thursday, February 25 - ASES After School Program Partner Dinner to recognize La Cumbre ASES partners.
Friday, February 26 - Harvest of the Month.
Friday, February 26 - Homeroom Competition at Lunch - M & M search.
Tuesday, March 2 - STAR Writing Test for 7th Graders - Special schedule in the morning so that students take the test before lunch.
Wednesday, March 3 - PIQE Session #5.
Saturday, March 6 - Core Knowledge Car Wash fundraiser - across from Mackenzie Park - all day.
Wednesday, March 10 - PIQE Session #6.
Tuesday, March 16 - Movie/Activity Day - No 7th Period.
Wednesday, March 17 - PIQE Session #7.
Thursday, March 18 - Travis Air Force Base Woodwind Quartet to perform for music students at 11 a.m. and give music clinics.
Friday, March 19 - End of 3rd Quarter.
Friday, March 19 - Spring Fling Dance - 3:15 - 4:45.
Friday, March 19 - Harvest of the Month.
Saturday, March 20 - Core Knowledge Car Wash - Across from Mackenzie Park - All day.
Wednesday, March 24 - PIQE Session #8.
Friday, March 26 - Homeroom Competition at Lunch - Tug of War.
Friday, March 26 - Living Voices Assembly at 1:30 in the Theater.
Monday - Friday, March 29 - April 2 - Spring Break - No School.
April 12 - May 10: STAR State Testing.
Wednesday, April 7 - PIQE Session #9 - Graduation in the Theater.
Friday, April 9 - 8th Grade Graduation Pictures.
Friday, April 9 - 3rd Quarter Renaissance Assembly.
Thursday, April 22 - Chaucer's Night for La Cumbre - PTA Fundraiser.
Monday-Tuesday, May 4-5 - Scoliosis Screening in PE.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, May 6, 7, 8 - La Cumbre Theater Arts presents Grease - 7 p.m. PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE
Monday, May 10 - Core Knowledge students leave for Europe.
Friday, May 14 - Washington DC/New York students leave for DC.
Monday, May 24 - 8th Grade Awards Ceremony - Earl Warren Showgrounds - 6:30 p.m.
May 24 - May 28 - USC Asthma Study Follow Up on students who began the study in kinder and 1st grades (Adams, Roosevelt).
Thursday, June 3 - Graduation at 10 a.m. on the front lawn - Last day of school - Minimum Day.
