Field Trip

The first field trip we went on was the South Coast Watershed. At the watershed we picked up trash around the beach. We learned how to be environmentally responsible.

The second field trip we went on was to see The Jason Project. We learned how the Native Americans traded. We watched The Jason Project in a room at the marine sanctuary.

The third field trip we went on was to go whale watching. We saw two gray whales, common dolphins, and seals. On the way back, it was really cold.

The fourth field trip we went on was tidepooling. We went to Coal Oil Point. We saw many birds and a lot of rocks. We saw these funny looking rocks, which were sea anemone.

The fifth field trip we went on was to the Art Museum. We saw many different kinds of art.We also saw sculptures.

The last field tip we will go on is to Santa Cruz Island. We think it will be a lot of fun. The last time we went on a boat as a class, it was really fun.

What we learned

Math: We learned about fractions, decimals, perimeters, areas, and triangles.

Science:We learned weather patterns, storms, lightning, electricity, hurricanes, storms, and space.

Reading: The units we learned about were cooperation and competition, astronomy, heritage, and making a new nation.
