How To Get Involved
Partners in Education and its programs are administered by the Santa Barbara County Education Office.
The health of our community and the strength of our economy depend on the success of our local schools in preparing our youth for a bright and successful future. Santa Barbara Partners in Education believes our schools succeed best if they are supported by the entire community. We hope you will join us in an effort to support our local schools today.
To help make this possible, Partners has embarked on a major campaign to recruit and coordinate volunteers into activities that our local schools have indicated are their highest priorities and greatest needs.
It doesn't take much to strengthen our schools; an hour of your time dedicated to a student will have long-lasting effects on the life of that student.
Teachers have requested help in the following areas:
| ● Mentoring students | ● Tutoring in a class |
| ● Guest speaking in a class | ● After-school tutoring |
| ● Mock job interviews | ● Career Day speakers |
| ● Field trip chaperones | ● Student internships |
| ● Hosting job shadows | ● Special events |
| ● Computers/ technology | ● Donations for auctions |
| ● Arts/ music programs | ● Sports programs |
| ● Student club advisors/ sponsors | ● Office/ library support |
| ● Gardening/ landscaping | ● Facilities improvement |
| ● Donating food or clothing | ● Health & hygiene supplies |
| ●Reading with students |
Our top priority at this time is to recruit volunteers; if you are unable to give your time, please consider a financial contribution that will help fund our efforts.
