




Welcome to the website for the Santa Barbara County Regional Occupational Program/Career Technical Education classes that are administered by the Santa Barbara County Education Office. The Santa Barbara County ROP/CTE provides high quality career technical education, career education, career development and workforce preparation to high school students in the Santa Maria, Lompoc, Santa Ynez, Santa Barbara and Carpinteria communities. You will join over 3,500 high school students who enroll in these classes each semester.
Students enrolled in ROP/CTE classes earn credits towards their high school graduation. They are taught a rigorous and relevant curriculum integrated with core academic standards. Many ROP/CTE courses meet academic requirements (Math, English, Fine Arts, Economics and Science) and many ROP/CTE courses are approved for UC entrance requirements.
ROP/CTE classes are available to area residents who are at least 16 years of age without regard to gender, actual or perceived sex, sexual orientation, race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, physical or mental disability, age or medical condition.
