School Guidance Services |
Each high school campus has an ROP Career Guidance Advisor who is available to assist ROP students in career development and job placement assistance. Appointments are suggested, but drop ins are welcome as time allows. A Career Center Technician is also available at the three SBSD high schools to assist all high school students with their career development needs. |
Certificate of Skills |
All students who enroll in an ROP course will receive a Certificate of Skills which provides detailed information on the skills and competencies attained. The Certificate becomes of value when presented to potential employers as proof of skills competencies. |
SBCC Articulation & Dual Enrollment Credit |
A number of ROP classes have established an articulation or dual enrollment agreement with Santa Barbara City College whereby college credit is earned if certain conditions are met, such as course grade and eventual enrollment in the connected SBCC program. Check the Course Descriptions for up-to-date information.

High School Math Credit |
Students may receive math credit by enrolling in Computer Accounting or Computer Business Applications. The teacher must be informed of this prior to enrollment. See your ROP Career Guidance Advisor for more information.

Course Advisory Committees |
The ROP works closely with local business representatives through individual course advisory committees to assure meaningful job skill training, a verified labor market demand, and a high potential for student placement. |
