Reading First Job Descriptions

RF Coach - A COACH is a certificated teacher who works with classroom teachers (not directly with students) in assisting with the full implementation of the district's adopted reading instructional program. They should have three years or more of successful classroom teaching experience; and recent, relevant training in scientifically research-based beginning reading. Demonstrates skill in working with adult learners.

RF Content Expert - A CONTENT EXPERT is a person knowledgeable about the reading/language arts program and is hired to support and train the reading coaches.

RF Coach Coordinator - A READING COACH COORDINATOR is a person with a background in administration hired to supervise and evaluate district reading coaches.
