The effect of budget negotiations in Washington D.C. has directly hit home for the Santa Barbara County Education Office. 

It is with deep disappointment the we must announce the closure of the Santa Barbara County Service-Learning Initiative operated by the Center for Community Education effective June 30, 20011.

Service-Learning Site Advocates will continue to receive a modest stipend provided by the CCE in the 2010-11 year and the work of individual districts will continue because of trained teachers and supportive community partners.

This website will serve as a reference site.  You will find resource links, which will be helpful to anyone interested in the Service-Learning teaching strategy.
