·       Praise your child’s EFFORT, not just her achievement.  In addition to showing her that hard work matters, it’s also showing her that she can be proud of the fact that she tried.

 

·       It’s great to compliment a child on neat writing or thoughtful sentences.  But who not praise him for a wonderful sense of humor or positive attitude, too?  What a confidence builder that is!
