In accordance with the California Education Code and other regulations, the Santa Barbara County Board of Education sets SBCEO board policy, approves the SBCEO budget, approves the SBCEO Local Control and Accountability Plan, and serves as an appeals board for inter-district transfer requests, student expulsions, and charter school applications. The County Board of Education typically meets the first Thursday of each month at 2 p.m. at the Santa Barbara County Education Office - Cathedral Oaks Campus, Board Room.  During COVID-19, Board meetings may be held on Zoom. If they are, the Zoom link will be provided on the agenda. Board agendas, complete board packet information, meeting minutes, and audio recordings of meetings are available by clicking the links below for the desired meeting date.
