The Clear Administrative Services Credential (CASC) Program is a job-embedded, individualized coaching program for recently hired school administrators seeking to clear their Preliminary Administrative Services Credential. The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) requires that a new administrator enroll in a CASC program within one year of activating their preliminary credential. This primarily coaching-based, two-year program includes an individual induction plan, professional learning opportunities, and ongoing assessment.
Candidates are assigned a coach, who is an experienced administrator, by their employing district. Under the guidance of the program director, the candidate and coach will gain new coaching insights and develop skills and reflective processes. Candidates will engage with program instructors who are successful practitioners in the field. Upon satisfactory completion of all program requirements, candidates are recommended for the Clear Administrative Services Credential.
