Teacher Tours
The Current Teacher Tours program is done in partnership with the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce. The Teacher Tours program aims to:
- Build relationships between local industry leaders and teachers.
- Educate teachers on local industry best practices and what local business leaders are looking for in employees.
- Generate interest for businesses to participate in additional workforce development programs, including hosting student interns and teacher externships.
Teacher tours are day-long, career pathway-specific tours that provide CTE Educators with the opportunity to connect with local businesses and better understand local workforce needs, so they can bring that information back to the classroom and best prepare students for jobs in Santa Barbara County.
