Yes. Students need a signed photo release form for this event (unless the caregiver requests otherwise). The form may be downloaded here and submitted before the event or at check in the day of.

The cost to participate in any of the Battle of the Books events is as follows:

• $12 per student (non-contracting/private schools)
• $7 per student (contracting schools/districts)

ELEMENTARY BATTLES (in-person): 

Max GUARANTEED seats per schools = 5 students

NOTE: There may be additional seats made available once registration closes. If you are interested in bringing more than 5 students, please indicate that in the optional questions below.

You will be notified of additional spots by April 4, 2024 (North County) and April 12, 2024 (South County).

JUNIOR HIGH BATTLE (virtual): 

There is currenly no limit to the number of participants per school site for this competition.  

Once you register, we will send you a spreadsheet that will give you a place to add the names and other requested information for each participating students.
