Instructional Strategy Team Grants

The Instructional Strategy Team Grants consist of two components: the Team Coach and Team Members.

Component 2, Team Members (AVAILABLE NOW): 
Teachers wishing to learn a selected strategy from the coach apply to be a Team Member. If selected, you'll meet with the coach for a minimum of three, 1-hour sessions to learn their strategy. Coaches will coordinate the meetings that may be in-person or via Zoom. The grant award funds may be used for materials needed for the strategy, travel to meetings, and/or other instruction-related purchases. 

Team Member Grant Award: $500

Team Member Application Process:
1. Eligibility: 
Any Santa Barbara County, PreK-12 public school teacher, or non-management certificated employee, in any subject or specialization may apply.
2. Choose a Strategy: The selected Coaches/strategies are listed below.
3. Application Deadline Date: Team Member application window is now closed. Check back Fall, 2026.
 

Component 1, Team Coach (Complete: Selected 2025-26 Strategies are listed below):
Instructional Strategy Team Coaches are teachers who have developed an original, successful instructional strategy to share with a team of peers. Begin by applying to be a Coach in September. Once chosen, the selected Coaches and strategies are announced in October. Teachers wishing to learn the strategy then apply to be Team Members, Component 2. Coaches must assist with recruiting Team Member applicants, and meet with the team three times to share the strategy.
Team Coach Application Process:
1. Eligibility: 
Any Santa Barbara County, PreK-12 public school teacher, or non-management certificated employee, in any subject or specialization may apply.
2. Share a Strategy: Share your well-developed strategy with other teachers.
3. Application: The Coach application window is now closed, the strategies for 2025-26 have been selected and are listed below.
